So, I am only on episode 4 now, but, after seeing episode 2, I get the feeling the Mr. Peanut Butter is a. Smarter than he appears, and b. A better friend to Bojack than he appears. He coincidentally gets a bucket stuck on his head, humiliating him, just as Bojack starts loving up his image rehabilitation? It seems like PB realized what was happened, and trying to draw fire instead of Bojack saving him Thats my opinion. I am so far liking this series, and want to hold on until I hit the midseaons the OP mentioned.

Every time I think about Vincent Adultman or the floorless Halloween store I start laughing again. And Mr. Peanut Butter is perfect with his tennis balls, hatred of the mailman, and how excited he gets when someone is at the door. I don't think I could handle it if anything bad happened to him in the second season. edit: Also his doggie bed and the water dish on the nightstand. withak fucked around with this message at 06:17 on Aug 31, 2014 |

There are so many good details. In Downer Ending, in the beginning when they're in the Penguin Office and it's raining, there are swamp monster coffee cups sitting under a drip in the ceiling. Edit: In the opening theme, the Holywoo/d sign changes between episode 6 and 7. I was hoping for a little easter egg automated response maybe great email address for the character though. I finished the season. Mixed feelings overall, but I'm really looking forward to season 2. The show has a lot of potential, and I think the writers are getting a handle on how to best capitalize on that potential. I actually thought "Downer Ending" was pretty rough around the edges, the drug trip in particular felt like something put together by someone who doesn't really understand drugs. Maybe I'll do a write up in more depth when I have time, but overall I hope for the best for this show. Without getting into it, I just hope Zach Galifianakis (sounds like him?) gets to play something other than shouty obnoxious characters. Both the navy seal and the Penguin who runs Penguin sucked, as far as I'm concerned.

So I started this show and then stopped. Cause it was awful. So very, very awful. But I kept watching it because I had nothing else to do for background noise. The episode with David Boreanaz house is where it finally clicked and that episode was probably one of the funnier ones for me. I was kind of surprised at myself, because I ended up liking it overall. I will say this though, I hate Bojack. I've never liked Will Arnett, I can't really explain why but most of his characters just come off as extremely obnoxious in the worst way. Episode 4 is when I think Diane came off as a really entertaining and likable character for me, but toward the end of the season she fell kinda flat and others picked up and really came together. But not Bojack. gently caress that guy. I certainly felt that the beginning's humor was loving terrible. The show is really at its best when its just over the top absurd. Watching Bojack and Naomi Watts going at it was disgusting and hilarious. Also Naomi Watts lamenting about how she always gets stuck with deep, meaningful roles as Diane in front of the real Diane.

Such a wretchedly pathetic, lonely, and selfish person that he'd go to incredible lengths to sabotage and ruin Toby's success just so he could have someone around to help him feel less alone. Wretched. Sick! That's the character's tragedy. The things he wants are normal and even prove him to have a decent heart, but instead of (for example) telling his friend that he doesn't want him to move out, he elaborately sabotages his chance of moving out in the first place. He only knows how to approach situations in a negative manner.

I was super disappointed with the first episode and didn't really have any interest in giving it another chance until my friend who smokes way more weed than I do got me to keep watching it. The episode with Sarah Lynn convinced me that it was going to be less awful than that Family Guy bullshit in the first episode where he threw up cotton candy for like three minutes led me to believe, and I ended up marathoning the last six episodes with my girlfriend last night. It's not the Adult Swim stoner comedy I was expecting at all, but after the second half of the season I'm super hype that it's going to get at least another season to develop even after the lovely reviews. It doesn't hurt that my weakness is dumb anthro animal jokes. The awkward-rear end way those paparazzi birds flew away from Bojack's house was like the funniest poo poo I'd ever seen after some

I'm really interested to see how Gecko having knowledge of Bojack's affair, and an axe to grind with Catherine, is going to play out next season. I'm also wondering if we're going to see any of the other two child actors from the sitcom come back into Bojack's life. I wound up much more invested in the story than I would ever have expected myself to be.

My favorite part of this show was that there are zero actual animals in this world. I understood immediately that we had humanoid dogs and horses, but then we started getting crayfish, chameleons, and mosquitoes. My favorite sringle part of the show was Stephen Colbert's "fascinating" when confronted with Jerry Maguire facts. Did he think that was the real Bojack? Did he know it was cardboard cut out, but responded politely anyway? The character was so simultaneously alert yet oblivious that we just can't know.

Downer Ending was so good and unexpected I decided I had to sleep on it before watching the finale, but it did not disappoint. If anyone is still on the fence over the early episodes, just watch a couple more.

I don't know if this is worth sharing or even worth being privately amused by, but Keith Olbermann's Twittter icon is a shot of Tom Jumbo-Grumbo. I guess it's just cool to see him so into this minor role that satirizes him, even if it's mild at best.
