I think you hit it right on the head when you said that the player character really wants to be Batman. He feels like a low-rent, less heroic Batman.

If you already killed 11 cops, why wouldn't you just off that guy and not take the chance? At that point you aren't exactly speaking from the moral high ground just because you left the one guy alone.

Nice to see Aiden's new jacket has a cross on it.

You didn't comment on it, but I believe that woman outside the porn filming room is hardcoded to have "Mentally Disabled" as her trait.

This game does not treat women well, and it isn't going to improve.
Yeah I briefly noticed that. Well done Ubisoft, that was completely unnecessary.

The entire level screams 'we want to shock you', which doesn't fit well with the rest of the game at all. Even better, they drop this B plot afterwards, despite trying to make you think it's important. I hate it when games go purely for shock value without any reason behind why.

Okay.. so I know i said the bedbug part made at least a little sense earlier. But now.. just, ugh. Nope, not even gonna try to piece this crap together now.
Like most of the game, it's a pointless diversion

Then again this game had maybe an ounce of plot to begin with...

It sure feels like there was a lot of poor editing of the story. You guys mentioned the Bedbug somehow not getting thrown to his death thing, but it does feel like they are shoehorning in Aiden having a conscience really late.

And T-bone is the best character in the game.
That's a pretty low bar to clear

I kind of wish they had made a Bitcoin joke about that. This game is, however, too ~serious~ for jokes.

The tone is all over the place. On the one hand, Aiden is a cyberpunk hacker with a Batcave and cellphone-based superpowers . On the other, his sister and her kids live in a normal suburban lifestyle.
I think in general this game doesn't go far enough in showing what things would actually be like in the hypothetical future where almost everything was interconnected. When you're walking or driving around it looks like a normal city today. You would expect more radical changes, or at least something to make the environment more interesting. I mean this game was in development for ages and it certainly doesn't feel like it.

It doesn't seem THAT excessive, at least not to an absurd point.

The game probably had 5 different scripts by the end so they just said 'screw it' and smashed them all together

I think they briefly mentioned Defalt before for like 5 seconds. Or something about a hacker noticing that the abandoned ctOS facility had come back online.

It's really true that they should have focused on the Blume angle instead of wasting time with the stupid sex auction, the whole Iraq subplot, and whatever they are doing with this Defalt character.

A lot of it makes sense when you realize this game probably had 9 different writers over time.
