Sunday is icecream day. Sunday is also hollywood shower day, and laugh at people spending their extra shower time going to church day.

I would drink budweiser before I drank Sam Adams. But then again I'm also gay for blue moon.

Dogfish head is really good. They have their own chain of pubs that have pretty decent food as well. I personally love the midas touch, even though it's expensive as gently caress. I don't really like Budweiser, but I don't think there's anything offensive about it either. It's just a bland beer. I've never had a Sam Adams I like, but I also hate pale ales and IPAs. Sam Adams feels like it's trying really hard to be a part of the hoppy microbrew movement, but that's just not my flavor. I like wheat beers, and a lot of times Blue Moon is just the closest I'm going to get to that on tap. It's doesn't mean I don't like dark beers either, but I have pretty girly tastes obviously. I'd rather have a Smithwicks than a Guiness for example. And that's beer chat from me. PS: I love gin and hate vodka, figure that one out.

Must have been some shady poo poo reported in the command climate survey would be my guess.

I didn't know you could lose command over a suicide. I guess in my community people are already a little strange in the head so suicide is kind of expected. You can't really blame command climate when you see how easy the jobs are too.

September Navy thread attendance has been very low this month. Muster will now be taken during Navy thread quarters. Be in formation 15 minutes early, and be sure to have your sleeves rolled/unrolled, whichever is more inconvenient.

A lot of people like Pasadena. It's about 30 mins away from base, but probably 45-1h in rush hour. I guess that's where you'd go if you like boats. The Crofton/Odenton area is decent as far as traffic goes, the worst you face will probably be route 3 which could be hellish depending on how far south you are, and in the morning 32 is going to be slow but steady. It's nearby the Crofton town center which is like the white people area. If you live up towards Glen Bernie you'll have a similar commute as Pasadena, but a little shorter. You're closer to Baltimore if you like hanging out in big cities, but you'd still have to drive there. This is also a bit closer to the mall. This area is the black people area. Columbia is to the west, and it's more of your richer people area. They have a mall that hasn't had a shooting in almost a year. There can be traffic on 32 going east towards base, but whenever I've had to drive out to Columbia in the morning it hasn't looked too bad. On the opposite side is Annapolis to the far east. Lots of stuff to do and you can hang out with the Naval Academy students. The distance is pretty far, almost an hour in rush hour I would say. It's a bit nicer than Pasadena, and has more stuff to do, but they are similar in coastal style. Then you can live either North or South. Baltimore is closer, I know some people who live in the city. I hate driving and parking in cities so I usually avoid the place. Or you could live in DC, but you'd be living in north east DC -- don't live in north east DC. You could swing living in VA, but it'll be a commute. The east side of the beltway isn't too terrible usually unless there's an accident or maybe a football game. Old Town Alexandria or Arlington are cool, but that drive.. If you go a bit southwest there's also Bethesda and Silverspring. These might be good compromises as far as traffic goes, but still could end up to an hour. They have towns to do stuff in though, and good metro access. What sucks about north/south of the base is 295, the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. This road doesn't allow trucks and it's still poo poo in two directions. Maryland has the worst roads I've ever driven on, and the BW parkway is like a showcase for how poo poo they can be. I avoid driving on this road at almost all cost, with possible exceptions for just going from base to the airport.

It's funny, the Navy isn't really that bad for me. Now that I've been in for a bit I don't have to deal with just generally stupid E-0's acting like high school kids. I'm done with IDW so I never have to think about any of that poo poo again. And I have an easy day collateral that requires about 0 interaction with the rest of the division so I'm not getting hassled to sell donuts for the Navy Day Ball or whatever. Life isn't bad, but as a first class put it to me, "re-enlisting is like giving a crackhead a blank check." 2 years 10 months to go.

I aint got time for that poo poo. If I luck my way into an EP then cool. If they give it to CTN2 Collateral Queen then whatever. I got a P on my last eval so even if I did put in all the extra work I probably wouldn't land an EP anyways.
