The mid-90s in general were just a fascinating time for WWF, if only because you could smell the desperation. Hogan left, so they trotted out Lex Luger as the new Hogan, but he left too. With most of their top stars in WCW, it was a nonstop string of bizarre gimmicks Vince kept throwing at the wall praying that something, anything, would stick.
