Previously unheard of "charity" mails their rainbow laces to everyone and says "wear these if you don't hate gay people" in an attempt to get publicity. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that?

Clubs turning them down did them a favour cause it got them in the news for reasons other than their retarded name.

It was the association with Paddy Power. Some clubs were sponsored by other betting sites. Also some clubs didnt want to offend the middle eastern market.
