Not quite finished my retrospective on The Krotons so in its stead have a section that I think sums it up pretty well: http://youtu.be/-oB2KZsaAtM?t=20m12s (20m12s in) One of them is getting really flustered that the Doctor and his companions are not Gonds, and when a Gond finally appears on the scanner he sounds so proud that he recognises it.
