Really liking the demo, although gently caress EA for locking the demo round length at 4 minutes. There are occasional comedy moments with the AI and the physics engine, but the game feels and plays way better than FIFA 14.

No way I'm going to pay 60 Euros to download it from Origin though. :signings: Greedy bastards forcing me to buy retail again.

Buy it from Origin in Mexico.

Is the PC version identical to the console versions or is it a pile of poo poo like usual?

They have said this about literally every version since FUT came out and it never happens also those stacked teams are always awful anyway so who loving cares (apart from EA beacuse it loses them money but I don't really give a poo poo about that)

They haven't taken this stance before and come out with a system such as bans and offences. And it matters because it really fucks with the market and makes the premium players super expensive. I don't care about playing stacked teams. I'd rather have a market where more players are affordable, so I hope this system works and gets rid of some of the lovely bot farmers.

For every complete TOTY team you came up against that was poo poo there was a balanced team with Zlatan or Ronaldo with someone who knew how to use them. Also speaking of crazy playes, the one big purchase I made the other week when I sold off everything was World Cup Robben at striker. It feels like cheating and is amazing.

The Webapp for 15 is going up Wednesday. My first purchase will be a fast strong striker who can finish and is not in the EPL. Did the same last year (Diouf) and it worked out great. EPL player prices are always incredibly over-inflated at the start of FUT. Lastly, as FIFA 14 is coming to an end I'd like to say Mario Balotelli was the best non IF striker in all of FUT hands down and he will be missed (got downgraded, but I'm happy about that because he's in the EPL, and EPL squads are half the teams you face). I did well with my Nigerian team in fifa 14 and I'm gonna look to make and even better version of it this year with Emenike back and the legend Okocha in the game.

The current gen probably changed this, but depending on your PC it runs a lot faster. I played on PS3 until last year, and after switching to PC I will never go back to console. It becomes very clear which is better when you career mode. I would cook dinner and do dishes while I would play on PS3. Now on PC there just isn't enough time between sims to do much else.

Buying/selling coins has been a bannable offence since forever, I guess this sort of publicity drive is new but I'll believe it when I see it wrt them actually coming down hard on it AND succeeding in driving it away (I suspect all that's gonna happen is some poor small-time suckers are gonna get dinged for it while the huge coin-farming/coin-selling companies just keep on rolling, making the whole exercise dumb and arbitrary). I guess it might sink prices slightly but tbh as someone who's played since FUT's inception on PC I've never felt the prices were anywhere near unreasonable anyway, but the way I play (heavily specialised hybrid teams and playing the market for coins) probably colours my perspective some?

I agree with all of this. I really do hope it is at least somewhat successful, because I enjoy manually flipping cards and making coins and bots really hosed with that towards the middle of the year, to the point where they shut down the online web app.

Yeah that did admittedly kinda suck, although at least the Android/iOS apps still worked (I actually don't think it worked with regards to shutting down the bots at all because I regularly saw players who always had at least a certain bid on them and that persisted 24 hours a day so good job there EA)

Yeah you can hit the D-pad to pull up tactics in corners. You can also switch to a player in the field on corners and throw-ins and call for the ball.

Also in pre-game you can give individual players tactical instructions, whether they should make runs or not, all that stuff

Great, now people will use this to create insane setpieces where they score on 90% of corners. Honestly the game would probably be better off if they removed corners and just gave you a throw in.

Feels a lot less...arcade-ish? Than 14. A slower game from what I can tell. The ball weight looks and responds more like real life IMO. The new animations add to the realism. Like the GUI overhaul for formations, players, etc in pregame thing. They're finally showing stats and stuff the way PES had it in 06 lol.

It was ok until Messi got involved at the end and of course scored. Also the ratings are trickling out bit by bit and the Serie A is mostly getting a downgrade as whole it seems. Too bad a lot of interesting players there. I'm completely fine with Ibarbo and Muriel going down though.

EA makes me a sad again for their PC demo. Seriously hate how the game crashes if you don't have Windows Media Player. Don't understand why it still has that dependency. Today I updated Windows and now it crashes at same spot as if I didn't have Windows Media Player or one of the other random issues that has been around for a few games.

*edit* Appears latest .NET broke FIFA.

So now current crash list is: Disable Origin Overlay, Install Windows Media Player, do not use an account name with accent characters, and do not install Microsoft .NET updates.

Bender: "I was God once." God: "Yes, I saw. You were doing well until everyone died."

I finally got the demo on PC and everything but shooting just feels so much better. The players anticipated through balls and actually put themselves in logical positions to receive the ball. The passing was much better and the ball felt like it had weight when you passed it long or in the air. Also, speed actually making a difference when against the opponents was great. $70 is just a bit much though for a PC download.
