A friend who went to the LA screening said that this director is doing much better with scenes that are just talking, so exposition is less BLAH INFODUMP which was probably the biggest flaw with Zero. Also, an interview screened before the episode revealed that they've plotted everything out so nothing gets skipped.

PLEASE let this be good. UBW is my favorite route, it's a wild ride from start to finish. It's cool to hear HF will be getting a movie(s?), but I hope they can manage to cram everything important in without loving up the pacing or having to cut important things out. A lot of HF for me was the atmosphere and suspense built up by long periods of downtime and exposition, and that doesn't sound easy to achieve when they have so much ground to cover in a short time, including a ton of fight scenes. And regretfully, less important scenes will probably have to get cut, which means we'll miss great moments like Kotomine eating mapo tofu

Also for Heavens Feel they can cut the H scenes out but I sure hope they don't cut out the fact that those two characters are actually in a physical relationship since I feel it's actually a relevant part of the story. I mean those scenes were kinda silly but it actually felt appropriate that they were loving seeing as they are dating each other in a sense.

HF is getting more than one movie. Chances are it'll be a Kara no Kyoukai type deal. You can't fit the entire plot of HF into one 90-100 minute movie without skipping major stuff that most of the audience wants to see, and past 100 minutes it's probably more profitable to split it anyways, at which point you might as well not skip anything. e: Also, food for thought: there's a decent chance HF is getting movies instead because they don't think they can adapt it properly and stay within TV censorship guidelines. Otherwise, they could have just made another TV anime after UBW finishes, since my understanding is that anything Fate is pretty much a license to print money and HF certainly has enough new material to warrant it. This could be either really interesting (HF is really, really violent even by the standards of Fate/zero and the other two routes, iirc) or really bad (HF has the bulk of the sex scenes in the game). If they were smart they would simply skip to the end of the H scenes and just show the two of them in the same bed spooning or something and have some dialog. If you need a crystal ball to see how ufotable will handle any particular scene in FSN (regardless of route) you need only look as far as Réalta Nua. And anyway, let's worry about HF after UBW is over and we have more information about its release.

I don't understand why they can't just handle these things with a fade to black instead of inventing weird new plot devices. Then again, I don't really understand why the VN market apparently requires sex scenes in the first place.

Maybe if we introduced Japan to Crysis and started a culture of pc building spergs dumping thousands on triple GTX Titans, an octo-core Intel i7, etc. At least they would stop funding lovely anime. Except that might also stop funding for good anime. I'm rather conflicted right now.

I'm going to take the bold stance that the H-scene in UBW (there was only one IIRC) was both hilarious and very revealing, in terms of their different personality flaws. It was honestly more comedy than pornography. I think it was supposed to be half-and-half, but the "interesting" translations made it 100% a laugher. The Jackhammer!

Meh, I'm not going to argue it. I don't see how it's any different from TVIV tearing into the sex scenes in Game of Thrones, but that's neither here nor there. I'm just here for the fights. The short preview they had for Saber vs. Lancer alone is enough to get me hyped. And that's just the warm-up for the even better fights coming down the pipe. So very ready.

I really, really hope it's not a fan edit/the audio is very close to that. Because holy poo poo I got goose bumps out of that.
