Is projection screen paint still a thing? I live in a loft with giant ceilings, and therefore have one giant bare wall that I project onto. It looks pretty great on just plain old drywall with white latex paint on it, but it would be nice to get some gain from a proper screen. It's usable during the day, even with two giant windows nearby, but it rivals a pretty nice movie theater at night.

Basically I'd like to know the cheapest way to improve my viewing experience on my wall. The projected image is about 120" at 1080p.

4000 lumens and a good ol' burning filament with the BenQ MH741, or everlasting 1400 lumens and fancy LED technology with the LG PF1500? Hmmmm decisions decisions

Just throwing out a recommendation for a cheap gaming projector here:

I bought the Acer H6510BD about a year ago, new on eBay when it was the deal of the day, cost $440 shipped.

Been super happy with it, the picture is bright and clear, even at full zoom (about 120") on my wall.

I also found out it's the lowest known latency 1080p projector out there at about 13ms, so totally suitable for even twitchy gaming like Overwatch.

I've had the Acer H6510BD for a few years and love it. Low latency, pretty decent brightness, and cheap!

Pretty much any screen will be just fine. I feel like you can slip into audiophile-land when it comes to specialty projector screens.

Definitely depends on your budget, and what projector you'll be using too.

Since I am poor, all I did was find the best reviewed projector screen paint on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/221230544419

Painted my dumb wall, then made the border with this amazing stuff: http://www.goodbuyguys.com/catalog/duve-pro-fabric-tape-4-in-x-25-yd-p-229.html
