The Evil Within wants 4 gigabytes of video ram look at this poo poo Recommended PC system specifications: 64-bit Windows 7/Windows 8 i7 with four-plus cores 4 GB RAM 50 GB of hard drive space (50 GB needed for install, but game will actually only take up around 41 GB of hard drive space, Bethesda says) GeForce GTX 670 or equivalent with 4 GB of VRAM High-speed internet connection Steam account how does that even happen? oh yeah just have like a gtx 670 or something no biggie but it's gotta have 4 gigs of vram lol "You may be able to run The Evil Within if your computer has specs below what's recommended, but in that case, Bethesda says that it "cannot guarantee optimal performance." In any case, you should plan to have 4 GB of VRAM, Bethesda added." confirmed for unoptimized pos

on what planet does a game only need 4 gigs of ram and a "gtx 670 or equivalent" but anbsolutely needs 4 gigs of vram i have a gtx 780 with 3 gigs of vram which no game to date has needed to max out on, how does that even happen where you need such unbalanced specs to run your game smoothly? i'm hella bamboozled, but i guess you can chalk it up to japanese devs + bethesda = lol

Apparently the PC version is a port of the PS4/XB1 version, which both have unified memory, and a lot of Japanese developers have very little experience with the PC, so they just said gently caress it, throw the whole loving game in vRAM
