It seems like transit schedules and routes should be pretty much fixed though, so the API calls are prolly for stuff like vehicle tracking and whatnot. Like I’ll gladly pay $25 for being able to live track my route but I dunno about paying $25 just to be able to access schedules for all the routes (which imo shouldn’t really be changing).

I just redownloaded it cause I’m moving to a place where I’ll be using public transit more. But showing a bus/train is delayed is what I mean by tracking vehicles and stuff. I’ll pay extra for that, but I’m not going to pay extra just to be able to see the schedule for a specific line.

What’s the difference between clicking on the 1P icon that’s inserted inside the text field and selecting the proper login, vs. tapping on the “password” bar right above the keyboard? Which is the preferred way to use 1Password? Why are there 2 ways to insert passwords from my password manager?

Wow, Anki. That’s something I forgot existed. I remember buying the official app for like $20 or something as a poor college student. It’s awesome. It really helped me with learning and retaining poo poo in college.

I need to keep track of my time split between 2 projects at work for billing purposes. It doesn’t need to be exact just need to know at the end of the day something like “6.5 hrs project A, 1.5 hrs project B” and I’ll prolly never need anything more than 30 min increments. A Lock Screen widget seems perfect for this. Any suggestions with iOS 17 now?

I feel like Apple News used to block articles from blocked sources? IIRC the gray box showing that an article/source was blocked would still be there and it might have said what the source was, but I don’t remember it telling you the title of it or anything. Just something like “an article from Fox News was blocked”. Anyway I think people itt recommended the Trakt app for tv episode tracking. Is there a way to mark a tv series as “not interested in watching anymore” so that it doesn’t show up in my “continue watching” feed? Without deleting the tv series entirely?

101 posted:Pretty sure your only option would be to switch to 'Single Tab' mode in Settings. That puts the bar back at the top as well though. Not the OP but I have my address bar at the top and it still shows this annoying tab bar on the bottom.  It’s super annoying.

Chewy started pushing deals to me even though I disabled “deals” so I just ended up turning the whole app off. Kinda sucks because the tracking and auto ship notices are nice.

Kind of a long shot but is anyone else having trouble logging into the Kroger app? The app refuses to let me log in citing incorrect credentials but I can log in on the website just fine and I was logged in in the app until recently. The reason this kinda matters to me is because Kroger has a ton of coupons and savings that aren’t advertised in store. The Kroger app can be used to scan barcodes which opens the product page and then you can see if there’s any coupons or cash back to clip to your account. It’s a non-insignificant savings.

Alternatively I've found that just signing up for their email and/or sms tracking is "good enough" and I don't really need it updated in real time in a shiny app.

Having trouble watching YouTube videos on my iPad with the Vinegar extension. On my iPhone it works fine, but on my iPad videos are just back screens and audio only. Anyone know how to fix this? I've tried disabling and reenabling the extension.
