Maybe they expressed their pleasure that Maggy isn't having psychotic breakdowns and cutting off her hair due to PTSD by commending her performance in on a task she doesnt perform regularly and probably hasnt ever done in that capacity by saying she did a good job at it but idk

He doesn't tell him to skip it. He says if he was rewatching it again he would skip it because he also doesnt enjoy it as much. Sorry you don't like that people dont think its worth watching s1 on a rewatch, but i dont see people saying to skip it to any first timers.
