Once upon a time, when Kazaa was the favored program for sharing music on the internet, I downloaded a song which later disappeared in a fatal HDD crash and which I have never found again. What I remember:
It was labeled as being by Christian Death, but Kazaa being what it was this may or may not be the case. I swear I have listened to every song I can find by them. It had some pseudo-egyptian instruments / melodic ornamentation. The verse or bridge ended with the line "And the bell... strikes [four?]" The lyrics of the chorus went "My, my, where am I, or will you not tell? This is too dark for heaven, and too bright for hell." which oh-so-cleverly changed in the last chorus to "Too bright for heaven / too dark... for hell." If I could just find this goddamn song which has haunted me on and off for the past decade, I would be so happy my goth card would be permanently revoked. Anyone?
