It would probably get a little weird providing for KJU's every whim and noticing how completely ignorant and useless he is. I imagine the urge to watch him die would probably get kind of strong at times. Like when the Russian nobles tried to get Emperor Paul to abdicate but once they sat him down at the desk they were like "you know what let's just beat this motherfucker to death"

How "hard" would would this "internal border" in a reunified Korea be? It seems like anything less than the current "shoot people who try to cross" level of security would result in millions of refugees crossing.

I didn't see how there was any kind of convincing evidence that pointed to NK in the first place, the admin just ran with it. How embarrassing.

TheBalor posted:Aren't those the same exercises they do every single year on the dot, and every single year they flip out about it? Does an annual dick-waving contest warrant that kind of response, particularly since it's been done every year since the late 90's? Well I suppose a good thought exercise would be what the US would do if Iran fired a missile into the Panamint Range. It's not populated!

Cliff Racer posted:How would that have anything to do with it? South Korea did not shoot into North Korean territory (indeed, even looking at both countries claims, South Korea maintains day to day control of everything south of the NLL: when a Northern boat goes there it is shot at until it retreats, when a South Korean boat goes there its just another day for local fishermen.) North Korea did not shoot into unpopulated territory. If you had something like Iran shot a missile into the Grand Banks you would be more accurate and, rather importantly, the response would not have been the United States shelling Iranian territory- populated or not. Yes, I posted an imperfect example so that a pedant would provide a better one. Thanks! But I do think the US would go ballistic in response to an Iranian missile in this hemisphere, let alone this continent. It's always good to keep the total assumption of world hegemony the US enjoys in mind.

Cliff Racer posted:What if "Operation: Tehran to Acadia" was an annual drill that had been done at time of year, every year, since the 1970s and included Iranian press releases stating where the missile would be landing and warning ships to clear off? Oh, and that the Iranians had both claimed and maintained operational control of that area for half a century plus? Because that's what we had here. "We provoke them all the time! They should be used to it by now!"

I wouldn't wish being detained by North Korea on anybody. He'll be treated well and likely released, but that is some scary poo poo.

Grouchio posted:So North Korea may launch it's *Secret Nuclear Missile Test* as early as tomorrow. What are the chances that NK wants to start a war with this missile? Can we strike it down? If they release a photo of this "missile" it'll be a Scud with some sad extra fins welded onto it.
