Gonna follow this thread, love all the garage-talk in AI lately even if it does make me jealous as all gently caress. Where in central VA are you located? I'm up in Charlottesville but would definitely bring all the beer if it meant access to a lift and goon-times.

Central VA goon meet? I need to gather some more parts, but I've got so much suspension poo poo to install on the Forester (you can never escape the Subarus). A lift would turn a week-long hell march into a semi-pleasant day of wrenching.

Excellent story-telling, almost as entertaining to read as it was actually being there. alternate.eago, ajcz, you guys rock, thanks for having us all over, hopefully we can do it again some time. It was great getting to meet iForge and everybody else. Plus the chinese and the car parts and the laughs (my face literally started hurting from laughing so much), just an awesome day. I like how in nearly every picture I'm in I have a gun in my hand, haha

Glad to see the Black&Tans were a big hit! I was kinda disappointed with that Devil's Backbone sampler, was hoping for some of their other brews. It was great to meet all you guys, never expected to meet so many Volvo people there. Whoever brought the HamSammies, they were amazing. I had a bunch of stupid poo poo pop up at the last minute today, now it's quarter after 4 and I still haven't left for Richmond. You got TFR in my AI  I miss the Box Threads in TFR, I really should spend more time there, I used to be more active over there but it's hard to stay enthusiastic about the sport when you can't afford to shoot for several years. That Henry looks drat purdy, can't wait to see it in person.

My best friend used to have a 18" barrel Handi-rifle in .45-70. Now that this was fun You could drat near set the target on fire if you were close enough to it, it gave the M44 Mosin a run for its money on the muzzle-blast front. I actually feel that .45-70 is a very soft shooting round for what it is, I never had any soreness after shooting it. Of course, I've put over 50 rounds through the previously mentioned M44 in short order and never had issues with soreness there either. Maybe y'all need to get stronger shoulders
