Now you just need a liquor license, you can resell the beer for money! Nice to see someone else mechanically inclined doing the work instead of you. I've fallen for that trap too many times, and now basically don't work on other people's cars unless I know they are capable.

Adiabatic posted:I don't have the rodent problem, but I should post pictures of the insane amount of spiders in there. I get bit on my feet all the time and no amount of bug spray will keep them gone. Permethrin will kill them, and lasts a while. DO NOT USE it if you have cats, or your neighbor cats come and visit. It's fine for larger dogs, so long as you don't spray them directly. It's only dangerous when wet. I use it around the house, and around the garage doors, does a drat good job.

Adiabatic posted:I'm a big Laphroaig and Lagavulin type of dude. Talisker is alright but I've only had the 10. Ardbeg and Caol Ila are also pretty good. Ardbeg is one of my all-time favorites, although the 10 is pretty harsh. The Uigeadail is amazing. I bought a bottle at NEAI, because I have trouble locating it up here. It's not something you'd want to mix or drink more than 1 of, but that's my preferred consumption regime anyhow. I've got a bottle of Galileo and Corryvreckan that I've been sitting on for several years. Laphroaig cask strength is another favorite. Add some water, watch it mix, and enjoy. Talisker 10, Caol Ila 12, Bunnahabhain 12, all excellent. The Bunnahabhain is different because it's an islay but only lighted peated. If smoke, peat, and seaweed aren't your thing, I'd check out the Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or... smooth highland scotch matured in Sauternes casks. I'm not normally a sweet, smooth kind of scotch guy, but this poo poo is awesome. RE: Rumchat, Mount Gay is excellent with tonic and lime. Goslings for D&S's (with Regatta ginger beer). Pussers is for British sailors (having worked on British Navy ships and with British Royal Marines, you get used to the taste eventually). If anyone is into sipping rums, I'd suggest Angostura 1824 as a reasonably priced, excellent start. If you've got the cash, El Dorado 21 is another fine fine aged rum. Kraken... it's got kinda a cool bottle?

It used to make sense when premade cables were stupid expensive, but it's been years since that was the case. Especially if your doing this for a learning environment, nothing worse than trying to troubleshoot switch configs only to realize the cable that looks fine isn't actually working correctly. Eh, I still crimp my own. Exact lengths and all... Plus I've got a cable tester and I'm pretty quick at it. Cat6 still sucks to crimp, unless you are using the paladin thru-feed terminals, but most of my stuff is 5e. Actually, I buy premade ones and cut them to length, which means only one crimp per cable.

It all depends on the locale. Some parts are beautiful, the rest is Blade runner or the worst sprawl you've every seen... Or Trenton, or Jersey City, or Elizabeth, or AC. South Jersey, the Pine Barrens, basically anywhere that's not near the big cities or the shore is really nice. Hell, parts of Bergen County are really pretty.
