Not only at home: the first time I died in this game was because I tried one of the scrolls; pointing towards the sea direction was not enough.

By the way, the fastest Morrowind speedrun I've ever seen (6-7 minutes) makes an incredible use of them.

Move to Ald'ruhn and start the quests for the guild there, you need to increase both your magical abilities and enchanted arsenal.

Escort, the full miniquest is probably much more profitable in Exp and goodies than the "kill and loot" option.

The only problem with The Elder Scrolls games (and a lot of similar games) is ths being bounced between here and there, like a billiard ball, often you have to leave a city in order to conclude a quest only to return immediatly there at the beginnig fo the new one. Sometimes it is frustrating.
