i thought the combat as janky and got bored of the story really quickly, honestly. It's a very pretty game and triss is p. hot and they did that Playboy spread and stuff but after all the "Skyrim only gives the illusion of choice" stuff the developers screamed, I honestly just wanted to play more Skyrim afterwards

Yeah Witcher 1 was rough around the edges but it owned. Then Witcher 2 just plain owned. Now Witcher 3 gonna own again. Hell even Witcher Adventure Game owns a little bit. Witcher owns.

i wish more games went the baldur's gate route of starting out as an extremely weak human being with battles against an undead kobold and a fart cloud at level 1 and then being a literal demigod by the end ofc they would have to make fights as an extremely weak fag not boring and a slog, which i dont think is possible considering how many bad rpgs have tried it

It's because unlike most RPGs those early portions of Baldur's Gate were actually really dangerous dangerous until you mastered the game. Sure most RPGs start you off weak in a relative sense but in today's babby friend gaming environment the early zones are always easy as poo poo. But a random wolf in Baldur's Gate would rip out your loving throat and kill your rear end at the very beginning of the game if you weren't on top of your poo poo (and even still might).
