I think the progression from Roger's personas being a thing he did just to get out of the house to a whole factory was a pretty funny gag. Also the cold open was hilarious

Didn't Stan's satanist friend actually go to hell? I haven't watched that episode in ages, it's one of my favorite early ones. It's amazing how much this show has grown out of being a family guy clone, it's probably been the better show for almost 7 or 8 years now

I think a good episode to start someone off with is definitely the one where Stan cannonballs and shits in a pool. that one is pretty good. if you wanted to show them something from the TBS era I'd go with the Trapped in the Closet parody

oh, Marmalade and seriously, I think American Dad has gotten funnier since the channel jump. the cold opens went from being eh to really good. favorite one remains the one where Roger accidentally picks up a new job after the one lady thinks his persona is a waitress

I haven't had a chance to watch today's episode, but I put on TBS yesterday afternoon and the spring break episode where Roger tries to throw the greatest spring break ever was going. that's probably one of the best episodes in the show's whole run, I was dying the whole time
