FSU had to have a Board of Trustees member fall on a sword to get enough going to kick Bobby out, but with a great amount of foresight also did it in such a way to put together a succession plan that also kicked out all potential post-Bowden trouble spots. We also had probably the most affable, charismatic, and patient of Saban's coaching tree as the hc in waiting. A looooot of poo poo went right, to say the least

I should also say, that the fans turned on Bowden in short order too, thanks in large part to a notion I often invoke with VT fans on here. "(Bowden) hasn't 'earned the right' to waste the careers and trusts of the kids who depend on him"

This is actually me in the recruiting thread. to be fair though I'd rather everyone share the rumors, even the somewhat silly ones. Even if they are dumb or mostly implausible, they do a good job of getting people to frame their priorities with what they want or expect from their admins, teams, or fans
