Can I build my character for stealth stabbing only and thus not have to walk around carrying a whole arsenal of weapons I never plan to use?

I've been wondering this for a while. This picture is on the front of Steam: Are those supposed to be four copies of the same person, or are they so uncreative with player characters that they are different people but all look exactly the same?

I wish at the beginning of any long, nearly identical series of games like this, there was an option to just opt out of all the tutorial stuff, or at least only have tutorials for stuff that is new to that specific game.

I might get it, just because I want AC with tall buildings and a seriously important time in world history again. edit: 3 kinda did, but you only participated in it in the most superficial ways, except for the bizarre Paul Revere escort mission. Like yes, we don't have email with attachments in the abstergo world, so we have to manually transfer the files to some external companies employee who spends their days travelling from office to office and getting their phone really close to other peoples phones. Just scrap real world stuff without any warning and pretend it never happened, ubisoft. It's for the best.

So far this looks like it's going to be one of the best in the series, if not the best. The free run down button is something I have wanted for a long time, it allows you to do the only sane thing when you're trying to run away from people and STAY LOW. It's embarrassing that it took them this long. edit: vvv so far it looks like you're strapped into an Animus and can't get up even if you wanted to. Anyone know if you can choose not to equip categories of weapons this time? I would sure like the option to go around just with the hidden blade and maybe a pistol.

I jumped into a coop game and it appeared to be just open world with no objectives or anything, and no one listening or responding voice comm, so I got bored and quit. Is that typical for multiplayer in this game?

But for me, even a bad Asscreed game is about climbing historical stuff and stabbing historical people, so it's still a pretty ok time for me.

AC: Rogue should have been AC: Rouge, and starred one of the courtesans who helps you get into enemy compounds. They are the true heroes of AC. Speaking of which, I haven't seen any of them in Unity yet.

Yeah, I think it's just this one and 3 that had technical problems at launch. Was something similar about their development, and different than other ACs? More different groups than usual trying to work together, or something like that?

Huh? The loading screens in this game are pretty much make a sandwich length every single time, on the PS4 anyway. I really like being able to carry around just a rifle, shooting anyone far away and and whacking anyone who comes too close.

I finally got through my first co-op mission and while I guess conceptually it would have been cool, it was a hilarious disaster in like ten different ways. I still think this is better than 3 just by virtue of having an actual big city environment again, but other than that... edit: I played AC3 pretty early on, so I never found out if patches and stuff improved the game significantly. Just to outline some of the problems I had with my first non-immediately-failing coop mission last night: - Hilarious lag. I don't know if it was because of some server problem or because the person I was playing with was in a 28.8 modem in the middle of Siberia, but I haven't seen anything that bad in over a decade. I was being hit by unseen enemies, and when I swung my weapon I 'd hear them being hit, and then a while later a dead enemy body would slide across the ground and arrive at my feet, which caused me to laugh out loud. - Quest markers wildly swinging around in space, inside of structures or in midair, or anywhere else. - I dunno if this is related to coop as such, but I needed to get underground to search for someone (I could see them there using eagle vision), but all of the MARKED staircases were locked. After like ten minutes of searching I found an unmarked staircase that I could use. - Of course, a co-op partner with no microphone. How silly of me to expect communication in a two-man coop game!

I finally had a completely successful co-op mission (minus no one communicating with anyone). They can be a lot of fun, and I look forward to more in the future. edit: having sandwich-making-length load times on both sides (same as every other time) is kind of a problem though.
