I'm only familiar with and not a fan of his new material, but his old analog stuff is very good. 80s Merzbow is the shiz, before he went all dull roar noise. The Duo box that came out a couple years ago with Kiyoshi Mizutani is in a similar vein and great (10 cds, all material recorded between 1987-89).
