I had a SB Pro v2 which had a ton of different CD ROM manufacturers interfaces on it, like Panasonic, Sony and some other brand (wasn't IDE or SCSI)

The guy who sold us our SB-16 freaked out when we told him we already had a LAPC-1 in our computer. He said you couldn't have 2 soundcards; they would melt.

I did. It came in a big box bundled with a CD-ROM and a CD of shareware games. And some small, unimpressive speakers. Moved up to the big leagues when the computer options moved from PC speaker to name brand. Also the SB-16 forced me to find out about IRQ assignments.

if u r privileged enuf to have a mac, u get to desolder and resolder components right off the motherboard to upgrade. its like a 90s kid dreamland. PCs rob u of that joy with their lame-o-zoid lego-esque plug-n-play technology.
