Rivethead posted:First car I ever owned was a 68 Dodge Coronet. Took it to a tire shop and they ended up breaking a stud by tightening the ever loving gently caress out of it with a breaker bar trying to get the wheel OFF. The idiots didn't notice that the studs were stamped "L" on the end. That little "L" means left hand thread. They did that to Slung Blade's 66 when we brought it in for an out of province inspection, then failed it for having broken studs.

EightBit posted:I need to show this thread to my friend, whose Mini Cooper is always at the dealer. There's an amazing news story on Canadian news right now about a lady who bought a 3 year old Mini Cooper S from a VW dealership for $21k. The cam-driven vacuum pump seized on it, bounced the chain and grenaded the timing chain tensioner followed by the engine proper. Apparently this is a common failure. Takes it to the dealership and the dealer asks for $10,200 for a refurb swap. She still has $19,000 on the note. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/bmw-s-mini-coopers-labelled-junk-as-owner-hit-with-10k-engine-repairs-1.2948855 Seat Safety Switch fucked around with this message at 18:50 on Feb 10, 2015 |

Motronic posted:http://www.amazon.com/GE-NIGHTHAWK-...e+nighthawk+led Peterson Lighting also has a 7" version (the 701C) which retails for $226.35 CAD from RockAuto. It's almost the same cost as the Sylvania, except it doesn't suck, and they use Miatas in their advertising (see attached video). http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=4921434&jnid=37&jpid=0 Wish I had $500 kicking around for me to throw at Miata headlights. I wonder how you aim them.
