Pirate World: Nearly done!
I'm in!

Gift Preferences:
I love board games and models! More specifically, light games I can play with my mates who aren't that serious about games but love screwing each other over: Love Letter and Coup are the two games I've got that fit perfectly. We've also got Discworld, Chaos in the Old World, Cash n Guns, Settlers and Carcassonne.
In terms of models, Games Workshops specialist stuff is my absolute favourite: anything I can use for Dreadfleet, Necromunda, Gorkamorka or Mordheim would be snazzy. Other than that, just plain models are cool. I love putting multi part plastic models together, especially if they're undead, pirates or goblins.

I'm all caught up.

I'm thinking this earlier date may have caught a few of our regulars by surprise, because as of right now we only have 63 participants! Last year's main round had about 94.

Well, maybe we'll wind up with lots of goons in the bonus rounds, eh?

I would also still appreciate some danger.

I'm in with this lovely placeholder post!

Gift Preferences: Just about any Cryx or Everblight WMH that isn't FA:1, 15mm WW2 terrain, 28mm Urban terrain, or indie RPG stuff. Boardgames and stand-alone card games are cool too! Mantic's Abyssal Dwarfs are also great! I'd absolutely love a massive pile of V:tES cards, the Burning Wheel Adventure or Magic Burners - but those things only seem to exist in the past.

Oh god please no: D&D Next, Pathfinder, "edgy" gaming stuff (LotFP, Kingdom Death, Cards against Humanity)

ASK ME ABOUT HOW SCOTLAND'S PROPOSED TRANS LEGISLATION IS DIVISIVE AS HELL BECAUSE IT IS SO SWEEPING THAT IT COULD BE POTENTIALLY ABUSED AT A TIME WHERE THE LACK OF SAFETY FOR WOMEN HAS BEEN SO GLARING
Diving in! Dear secret benevolent one,

Gift Preferences:

I haven't been an active wargamer in many years but am being sucked back in by my brother as part of his scheme to guarantee a regular opponent. What this means is that I'm pretty much starting over with a fledgling new miniatures collection and very little kit! Currently the plan is to sponge off my brother's paints/whatever is left from our teenage years that he salvaged from ancient storage while I remember how to hold a paint brush and start buying models... (don't worry it's his plan too and he is reading this!)

Speaking of models, I am starting up a Dropzone Commander PHR army (Hawk Wargames) so some of that would be cool. I also have my eye on the Batman Miniatures game by Knight Models. I have no clue if the actual game is any good but I'm a sucker for that Arkham City stuff!

As I said, I'm lacking in basic painting supplies. So far all I have picked up is a basic tools set (clippers, glue, tweasers etc) and a can of white basecoat. So brushes, paints and so on would be welcome too so I don't have to impose on my brother/his wife too much! ;)

General Location: Oxfordshire, United Kingdom.

Solemn Vow: I hereby vow never to grinch, on pain of my brother informing my wife. For then my mother-in-law shall immediately know of it and I shall never be allowed to forget what I did. Ever.

Edit - Aaand now I have a baby avatar. Whelp.

First timer in!

Gift Preferences:

I've been thinking about getting into historical wargaming(especially early modern-era stuff) as well as picking up some of Mantic's Kings of War. But really, I love the building and painting just as much as playing, so anything cool on that front would be great. I've heard good things about this X-Wing game, and would be excited for that as well. I've started up playing RPGs again, and any source books would be fun, with the exception of D&D.

I'd prefer no dongs, anime, or gag gifts, Santa. But other than that anything cool would be great.

General Location:

Maryland, US

Solemn Vow:

I'm not going to grinch out, because I enjoy not being lovely.

Gift Preferences: If you can get me a copy of the SenZar RPG I will love you forever. I like Magic a fair amount though I haven't played it in a while, I'll try board and card games out, I'm a huge fan of weird, silly or goofy RPGs, or books about paranormal stuff that I can use for RPGs. I wouldn't turn down Warmachine/Hordes stuff but I don't currently have the time or income to play or paint it, so not really my first choice there. Don't want any TCGs except, as noted, Magic. Also, entertainingly bad movies and all kinds of kung fu movies. Anyway, you can try to surprise me but I'd prefer it kept at least vaguely near those bounds. Anything that has to do with kung fu fightin' is probably gonna be appreciated though, I do love me some kung fus of all stripes.

I would prefer not to get a gag gift, but given my tastes in terms of bad movies and goofy, bad RPGs, I don't count them as gags. Also, while I love Ars Magica, I already own all of it. You don't have to send me any books from that. I'd also prefer, uh, no D&D. I don't play D&D.

General Location: Connecticut.

And it's dark and there is nobody driving And something has got to give

If it's not too late, I'd like to give this a shot!

Gift Preferences: I'd prefer physical gifts, please. My main interest is weird/obscure RPGs, both the cool and the terrible; I own Synnibarr and SenZar, and games that can stand among that hallowed company would be welcomed. I've also been getting into Glorantha recently, so HeroQuest/Hero Wars/whatever else would be great. Other games I've had my eye on recently include Apocalypse World, Double Cross, Inverse World, Ribbon Drive, and New Fire. Storygames are great too; I currently own Fiasco, Dungeon World, and Monsterhearts, but more is always better.

Board and self-contained card games would also be cool. I have plenty of dice but will happily accept more, and I've kind of always wanted a Tarot deck for use as a gaming prop. Finally, if you've always wanted to send someone a Secret Santa dong, I will take it in good humor. (No pun intended.)

Please Don't Send: I don't do any miniatures gaming, so minis/paints/terrain/etc. would be wasted on me, and I also don't play any TCGs. I'd prefer nothing Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, or other licensed stuff, because I'm a terrible hipster, and I'm really not into anything Warhammer/40k-themed either. I'd prefer nothing really skeevy unless it's a FATAL-caliber trainwreck of a game. I have weird tastes, so if you want to send non-game-related media, nonfiction books are a better option than fiction or movies.

I'm full up on core D&D product (though neat third party adventurers/settinglets are pretty cool), and I have all the Fate Core books (though Atomic Robo would be really neat to get.). Any of the Gumshoe stuff would be super neat, and I love bizarre older RPGS.
If you feel like going in the tabletop mini direction, I'm trying to get into Malifaux (no undeads please), and can always use modeling supplies. I love hardcopy books; I look at a screen too much as it is, and electronic stuff isn't as much fun as solid objects for gifts.

Gift Preferences: As a big dumb dork I already have lots and lots of mainstream RPG stuff. Also a lot of indie stuff. So what I want is to expand my collection of old, aggressively weird RPG supplements and old, mimeographed or photocopied board games. Birthright adventures? Transhumanist dragons? Some cheap D&D knockoff from the 70s with absolutely no virtues at all? A new copy of Fantasy Wargaming because I gave my old one away and now regret it? An interstellar card game in which you draw resources from a deck of cards that were clearly cut out of construction paper? Yes yes yes yes yes!

Or art or unique objects or basically anything else that's nerdy and can't be bought shrink wrapped. See that Santaur in the previous post? That'd be great.

Also I'm building a commander deck after getting into magic at M15 so I guess if you have some older than that blue, red, or white cards with big, flashy, dumb effects, I'd not turn my nose up at them.

I don't have a whole lot of boardgames right now, so almost anything that is a good game should be fine with me. X-Wing has also caught my interest, but I don't have much of a collection yet.
