As I recall, the original webnovel author would quite like Japan to have the opportunity to do that back to people.

The whole story is his wet dream of japan colonizing fantasy Europe, of course he would.

There were points during the first few episodes of this season that I had to remind myself that this was supposed to be about the JSDF and not say, the US armed forces. Strategically bombing the Senate building for one...

This season is so much more satisfying than the last, for reasons that I don't properly understand.

I think it mostly has to do with the lack (so far) of modern political nonsense on Earth, since I remember liking the CK2-style political machinations in the first before all of the onsen "stuff".

But there's arguably less of that this time, and it's far more focused on individual characters, so I really don't know.

How did this smug dummkopf ever make general?

Baron (Bacon?) and God getting roasted by the dragon and then by the base staff was good. More Bacon Baron and God please Gate, less pretending to be somebody's dad to sleep with them and using a dragon for therapy reasons.

This series really is at its best when it's just troops in fantasy funland.

ACTUALLY IT IS VERY GOOD THAT THE SHOW IS BAD AND ANYONE WHO DOESN'T REALIZE WHY THAT'S GOOD IS AN IDIOT. JUST ENJOY THE BAD SHOW INSTEAD OF THINKING.

Well that's to be expected. Your wife (probably) isn't Japanese, so she just isn't capable of the same level of diagnostic wizardry that Japanese psychiatrists are.

It's been established that it weighs possibly a literal gently caress ton.
She's carrying it.

He's carrying her.

Where does the axe weight go?

Itami is ripped. As a Japanese ex-special forces trooper he is basically on the level of a demi-god. That's to be expected.

That was from a gaiden story not in the original series of novels, but fit into the general chronological timeline, so I can see why the skipped it when the manga didn't
