I like how people act like a socialist city council member in Seattle signals some national sea change. Unions are dead and more than likely will be operating in what is functionally going to be a national RTW environment. I read this more as the final hurrah for labor in its last redoubts as it defends itself against its final picking apart. Labor cannot go on offense and protect the long-time unprotected at this point because it is lower in numbers, held down defending itself in northern cities, and run by people who think there's a way to just restore the way things were before 1979 through enough magic and stubbornness.

National RTW is coming, and no one has any clue what to do aside from feebly protesting against the inevitable and acting like you can just restore the New Deal in the face of a force dead set on exterminating it that also happens to run a large majority of states at every functional level as well as SCOTUS.

But hey, as long as cool white kids that fancy themselves revolutionaries (mostly online) in the worlds most affluent cities can brag about having socialists around.

One interesting difference between Sanders and the other Democratic candidate: he's done at least two MSNBC spots every day since announcing and he wasn't at all shy of appearing on the network prior to the announcement.

Contrast that with Hillary who has yet to do any cable TV spots since announcing. Bernie's going to get a lot of airtime for his ideas because those networks have 24 hours to fill and no other candidates to fill it with.
