welp looks like I'm buying another sony then, probably this one because not having to juggle remotes is worth more to me than any other feature a TV can have apple tv doesn't even have cec which is pretty lame imo

i dont think ive used my tv for anything else than appletv in the past year. may have watched a dvd and i think i saw some natgeo once bc my tv is old and always picks analog cable input by default when i start it up

there was an article a while ago about a hypothetical ad free internet that claimed it would be $230/year on average if that was an option and ablock didnt exist i could see myself paying for that. then again the demographic "idiots that pay for a thing that is free" would prolly be incredibly interesting to advertisers

i have a shamsung smort tv and it updates a lot. it was the best deal at the time i bought it but boy do i wish it wasn't smart.

My 55" Sarnsung smarttv is less than a year old and the interface is slower than poo poo I got it in a package deal with a camera and i use it to skype with my brother and skype is slower than poo poo the camera also enables a really stupid feature where if you wave your hand in front of the TV it uses teh camera to track your hand so you can move a cursor around the screen like a really lovely mouse to change the volume or click buttons the remote has a touchpad on it like the ps4 controller and it sucks too picture is p good though
