Time to get a shitmobile and limp back into work until you can save up for a better car. I hope you can get $500 - 600 for your existing car because this sweetass Buick is waiting in your area: https://lakeland.craigslist.org/cto/4767225273.html

Dope. But thats one serious bike ride to get to see it. Idk if my quads could take it.

Really though, how can I trust a car like that isn't a week away from breakdown, without knowing much about cars past basics?

You need to make friends with a card guy. Treat your car guy well - beer, pizza, porno and more beer are good starts. Slipping them a few $20's here and there are also good ways to keep in their good graces. If they are a car guy, chances are they aren't a computer guy and you can trade your expertise for theirs.

Have your car guy drive you over to that vehicle and let them inspect it before you test drive it. I know it's Florida and no AC is a serious suck factor but you have no money so you have to deal with lovely things for a while. Roll the windows down and let that muggy seaside air blast your face. If the car sounds decent and your car guy gives it a thumbs up then you buy the stupid thing and hope like hell that it runs for a year to give you time to save up for your next shitmobile.

Before all that you should talk to your coworkers and see if you can carpool with any of them. You should plan on buying them full tanks of gas, bringing donuts or other tasty breakfast treats and generally be a very grateful and courteous carpooler.
