Verify spark during cranking. pop a plug wire off, stuff a screwdriver in the fucke rand stick it near something metal. look for an arc. don't touch the fucker while doing this! Verify fuel pressure. don't have a fuel pressure reader? grab the old style tire pressure gauge and measure whats at the shrader valve on the fuel rail. I can't remember if these have test ports or not. EFB: Beaten' like a gimp in a dungeon. goddammit.
