I had a Chip and Pepper flannel jacket in middle school back in the early 90s. The zipper busted on it sometime thereafter, and that was that.

There was an animated series for pretty much everything in the 90s.

Like New Kids on the Block.

Rat tails, worse than mullets?

I'll probably get flak for this, because tattoo enthusiasts get really defensive, but Tribal Tattoos. Nothing says 90s douchebag tough guy like a tribal tattoo wrapped around their upper arm. Or barbed wire. Now obvious actual Samoans or other people from cultures that actually have these are fine, but white guys trying to look tough always look like a douche.

Another tattoo that screams 90s to me is the sunburst around the navel.

In case anyone's been living under a rock, these badass snatch-destroyers are the grandfathers of FPS gaming - John Carmack and John Romero (r-l).

Romero was eventually doomed (hehe) to create the hideous Daikatana, and dwindle into irrelevance, whilst Carmack continues to push the envelope of game engine tech and builds rocket ships in his spare time.

Taken directly from the GBS Youtube thread, I really think this might be the most 90's thing I've seen so far. Presenting
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFIngV3rMpo

So instead of producing your typical infomerical, Sega went ahead and produced what amounts to a Paid-For TV Pilot. The show-within-the-show is just 90's as gently caress and laughably includes lines like "Will the 32X deliver a whole new level of gaming, or a whole new level of hype?" but The Pilot About People Trying To Make A Pilot is no slouch either, with character personalities that would feel right at home in the middle of Saved The By Bell.
The fashion is 90's, the games they're ultimately hyping up are 90's, the weird way it treats technology like EPROMs is some Hackers-style nonsense.
