At work today, I suddenly had a dobermann the size of a chiuaua underneath my counter. A guy had come in with it and it was so small I didn't notice, especially because it wasn't leashed. It was adorable. Apparently a Miniature Pinscher: Unfortunately, I didn't have time to take a picture myself.

This picture makes me nervous, since as a kid, I found one of my hamsters one morning, having tried to escape through the wires high up in the cage, getting caught and choking.

I know plenty of people who don't like bull terriers (either because they think they're ugly, or are afraid of them). I think it's mostly the tiny eyes. But my GOD.

Youtube suggested this Jon Oliver clip about transgender rights issues to me and it made me feel quite good to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmoAX9f6MOc I don't personally know anyone who's transgender (and ready to share that fact with me, at least), and it's a topic I feel I have a lot to learn about, but there's something heartwarming about seeing someone speak such common sense about it, and having an audience cheer them for it.
