They ended up dropping out of youtube for awhile, I think even deleting (or just making private) their channels. Or at least people thought they did. Turns out the guys switched gears and had been making little kid youtube loop bait videos. These are those really low quality, copy paste videos you see if you search for anything Disney or kids media related. They abuse the youtube algorithm by uploading daily 15+min videos (all copy paste blender or flash pro videos) with nusery rhymes and stuff. Similar to the above, they probably spend 1 day making a month's worth of content, loop it back on itself in a playlist and rake in the ad money thanks to children being given an iPad to leave mom and dad alone for a few hours. Also it's not a Bane sorta thing where he's still intelligent. It's a sack of meat that exists for 1 purpose and has no mind otherwise.

I wouldn't be surprised if the dude just hadn't either played the game itself yet, or hadn't played that particular character's route yet, and thus didn't even know they were trans. I mean, I was totally ignorant of that character in total and I've seen plenty about it. Seems easy to miss.

It's supposed to be some Egyptian god that literally looks like that which got meme-ified in Japan. Then some game had a summer event and one of the characters dressed up like that because she's shy about her swimsuit or something and that too got meme'd.

Oh, I was just talking in regards to the "Why are adults making art of a kids show" point, not the "edgy evil dark" thing the artist was going for. Though now that I think for a second I did inadvertently choose 3 dark/gritty fan projects for my examples... I'm just saying that as a cultural touchstone Pokemon, just like Peanuts or The Simpsons, ends up getting re-imagined and mixed with subjects and mediums that it would otherwise have no connection too.
