I watched Clive Barker's Nightbreed last night. Not very good, but I also didn't enjoy Hellraiser, so there you go.

It's all on Netflix now, though, including a good number of unaired episodes.

Hannibal Smith posted:I'll second this, along with the show it used to be paired with Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23. As long as you can get past the name, it's one of the funniest and most original sitcoms that's aired in years. It's basically about a girl moving into an apartment with a sociopath who's best friends with James Vanderbeek playing a bizarre version of himself. I think the name went a long way towards killing that show. I never would have watched it if it wasnt heavily recommended. Its a shame, because it was a hilarious show.

I saw on the first page that people were wanting That Mitchell & Webb Look, and I didn't see anyone mention the whole show is on Hulu for free. It has been since before it was taken of US Netflix. It's all good quality, so you don't have to deal with youtube.

Retail Slave posted:Does Amazon Prime have enough separate content from Hulu and Netflix to be worth the price? I'm thinking of splurging, but I don't want to flush $100 down the toilet if it's just pretty much the same stuff I can get on the other two apps. For movies, no; but I think it's worth it for the television shows. I tend to go back and forth, watching series on Netflix for a month or two then Prime will get something really good and I'll binge Prime for awhile.

I expected it to be terrible but gave it a shot out of boredom (and well, honestly, Krysten Ritter. I mean, come on) and it became one of my favorite sitcoms. It's much funnier than I ever expected and I recommend it to everyone. I never knew James Vanderbeek could be that funny, and he and Krysten Ritter have great comedic energy together. I really got the feeling that everyone involved in that show was having a great time making it, and that kind of thing makes a huge difference in whether something is really good or just plain good.

Boardwalk Empire is as good as it gets for HBO on Amazon Prime. Plus it's over so you can pick up the final season on DVD or whatever if you like closure.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for Don't trust the B, even if the romance plot brought the second season down a bit. I recommend everyone watch Lost Girl. The main character is a mary-sue, the first season is close to being soft-core porn, and it has a lovely canadian soundtrack. It does get somewhat enjoyable...in the third season.

I don't remember if Elementary was on Netflix US, but it got added recently to Netflix Mexico/Latin America. I actually turned it off when the line "Sherlock in New York" was spoken, as a non-US person I'm already a bit tired of the whole "popular character goes to New York" trope. I'll give it a second try later, only because people keep on going on how amazing it is. Now about a favorite thing, I'm liking Marco Polo, naked kung-fu and gorgeous costumes,I don't care if the dialogue isterrible.

Netflix has the documentary Out of the Clear Blue Sky. It's a documentary about the firm Cantor-Fitzgerald, whose offices were on the top floors of the North WTC tower. I can't really make and comments about the reason for making the documentary, or the sincerity of its management; but it's pretty interesting. Every single employee that went to work that day died (~650-700). I just tried to imagine what that'd be like for any business.
