The last 2 episodes (Charles Dederich and Synaon / Lord Gordon Gordon) have been among 2 of my favorites they've done. I could not stop laughing at the balls of Gordon Gordon and the craziness of Synanon.

I know that he's a piece of poo poo, I hate his politics, but I'm really scared to listen to those episodes

So I have been thinking the Dollop was about MMA fighter and Wrestler Paul Lazenby and was really scared to listen to it after binging Behind the Bastards

I really enjoyed the most recent episode. We've had a lot of "serious" Dollops lately and this one reminded me of why I like the goofy just random poo poo that has happened in our history.

The thing that blows my mind (and to an extent it's been the same as the Ragnar Redbeard Behind the Bastards episodes). I've stayed more or less ideologicaly the same my whole life. But when people make these hard turns like Ronnie did it seems so weird to me.

Grand Fromage posted:I made a pretty hard turn, but it was from being raised Republican to socialist so I don't think it's too weird, I just got out of my dad's influence and learned how the world actually works. The hard right turn is a mystery to me too. Maybe it's because I consider myself pretty far left but I've never understood people who either go from left to right or apolitical to hard right. When I was in the military my best friend Dan was totally apolitical. He knew that W was president, but probably couldn't tell you much else. Then in 2008 he started getting interested in politics, got sucked into the tea party and became a hard core Libertarian. If anything, while in the military I went from center left to hard left because one of my close friends was a big lefty and I didn't really have anyone else to talk politics too because everyone else was what we would now call a chud or apolitical. But in my own experience I have seen how powerful talk radio can be because I listened to Air America Radio (Al Frankens liberal talk radio channel) and if anything it pushed me farther left than I already was.
