my keyboard has a headphone jack and a volume scroller but yeah it's just a digital control that tells windows to change its poo poo so i don't use the keyboard's jack

also my headphones have an analog control on the cord but inconveniently placed so i never use it

i use a logitech g110 ~gAmInG kEyBoArD~ at my posting throne. that model has been discontinued and the digital controller doesn't suit your specifications though so whatever

the volume scroller and mute button just talk to the OS but there's another button which i assume is like a second mute button (lol) that would cut the headphones instantly so there's that. also a single port usb 2.0 hub which i never use because i forgot it was even there

when i used the volume scroller in windows 7 it just popped up that old systray volume control thing like from windows 95 but now in windows 8 it has this thing like a fake TV OSD that means i can't click things underneath until it times out argh this is bullshit gently caress you mikkkro$oft
