I've made a huge mistake.
Of course if you don't care about the Flickr T&Cs, the intent of the photographer or having the optimum resolution, you can just load up the flickr page and grab the URL of the image using the developer tools in your browser of choice...

Google warns his site might "harm your computer". Presumably by burning out the monitor....

A metal tripod will act like a set of large antenna gathering electromagnetic noise. This will cause your photographs to have reduced contrast and a washed out look. A wooden tripod results in your photographs having much better clarity. Also make sure you use on of our £200 unidirectional usb cables when downloading your photographs from the camera to ensure extra vibrant colours.

But then lovely photographers aren't exactly above just using others' work for their portfolio.

To be fair, many wildlife photography competitions have rules around baiting or captive animals that are largely reliant on good faith by entrants. For every story like this, countless probably go undetected.

Was Flickr actually good about 10 years ago like people say?
It's was/is a good community as long as you sought/seek out people posting high quality work and avoid the swamp of circle jerking award groups. I've bumped in to people in the real world and realised we knew each other on Flickr. Or you'd meet people when out shooting and share Flickr links to keep in touch. That said, it never did that well at getting world class name-recognizable photographers. For a while 500px was the place but somehow Instagram has managed to crack that despite being technically the worst photo sharing platform since downloading 256 colour GIFs off BBS systems...

Why does this group exist? Why does it have 298 members? Why do so many of those members post photos that are in no way barns?
Pure Evil.

To like that type of shot your brain has to be so fried that you are no longer able to process the meaning of words and can't tell the difference between 'barn' and 'not barn', or you have such a lack of ability to tell Right from Wrong, that you simply can't recognise the lack of social unacceptability in intentionally spamming every possible group in the search of the like/comment buzz.

Instagram is poo poo in every way except for it's where all the world class photographers hang out.

Don't compress the gently caress out of every photo should be a low bar for a photo based social media platform.

The T&A on 500px is mostly beautiful and unobtainable models from Russia and Eastern Europe. The stuff on Flickr is bored housewifes from American suburbs, real dolls and world naked bike rides...
