I loved that it began with "we're gonna go a little more blue now that it's on patreon" and halfway in it's "TOO MUCH, TOO MUCH"

Yeah, it's overstuffed and almost nothing in the film pays off. Paul Giamatti is seriously there to do under 5 minutes bookending the film, Electro is the only villain to get closure out of about 5, the final non-Rhino scene is just a giant tease going "BOY I BET YOU WISH WE'D USED ALL THESE VILLAINS, HUH?", and to top it off there is the story arc I have never met a single person who gave a poo poo about it, Richard and Mary Parker's weird past, peppered all throughout the film but without explanation. Reminder: no less than 3 films were supposed to spin out of ASM2 by Sony's long-term plans, and all had to be quietly smothered in the cradle.

Oh man the mother of all bad ideas Maybe not even that good, I found the old graphic from that era and it was never announced more in-depth than "Female Lead Spider-man Spin-off". You know, out of the movie where we cut Mary-Jane entirely and murdered the only woman under 50. That is actually a feature now on Patreon (for audio), so give it a week, I think they said they're aware. I'd have to check my emails and see if it's already on my feed, I just know some other shows opted in.

Serious recommendation: anyone wanting to learn a lot of cool trivia about Ernest should probably listen to this recent episode of pop culture show Laser Time, which is a giant deep dive into Jim Varney, the character, and all the pre-film history that built him into a property a rising Disney courted.

I don't know if I should worry that The Nexus has peaked two episodes in, or be hopeful there's still more cenobite-like highs to come. I had to turn it off at work because there was a solid period where I just couldn't stop laughing to focus.

I totally believe the Brown Bunny story because I also had lovely(?) parents who would take my sister and I to "artistic" films when we were younger. I didn't understand a lot of The Night Porter, but it definitely stuck with me!
