Love these guys. 2021 Dune was fine. “They’re not human…they’re BRUTAL!” is such a bad line.

Is it worth it to listen to Once in a Lifetime if you haven't hatched the movies in question? I know this applies to everything else they have done but I am on the fence on bumping up my Patreon.

Absolutely. If you’ve seen one Lifetime movie, you’ve pretty much got the gist of all of them.

I’m kicking myself now for not sending in Lifetime Classic “Mother May I Sleep with Danger?” for LRM.

Not Lifetime-related: has anyone noticed the commercial actor that looks EXACTLY like Steve? He’s in a Progressive ad and was in something during the Super Bowl. Steve needs to do some auditioning.

It’s a shame they don’t include 90210 in listener request months, because we aren’t going to get to Jamie Walters as Ray Pruit for years, and he is, without a doubt, the worst actor on either 90210 or Melrose by miles and miles.

I don't know how he is now, but he definitely was not easy to work with back in the day, plus he had some substance abuse problems. It's why he went from things like working with Bob Fosse and getting Oscar noms to direct to video martial arts movies to 100 Lifetime movies every year.

In fairness, he’s had far and away the best career of anyone in that Bob Fosse movie.

The dude NEVER stops working. He doesn’t need to star in 2022’s From Dusk Till Bong, but he does just for love of the craft. And I bet that makes him fun to work with these days.

I caught two movies fellow Eric Roberts-heads might enjoy:

Skin Traffik. The guys mentioned this one on a Once In a Lifetime. Basically a Jason Statham movie if it were produced by Lifetime. Very fun. Mickey Rourke, Daryl Hannah, and Michael Madsen also star in scenes that were added on after the fact. Eric Roberts gets the top of his head blown off with a Deagle.

The Specialist. Eric Roberts is a mobster. Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone are domestic terrorists who desecrate a church. Eric Roberts gets blown up by a tea cup.

Edit: Specialist, not Professional

in this SlashFilm retrospective Laura Harrington was talking about how Emilio would have Tom Cruise and Demi Moore flying in and out of the set to visit and go boogie boarding and apparently Blue Velvet was shooting at the exact same time in the same town and Lynch had to stop filming multiple times because the explosions from the MO set were being caught on their audio feed.

that entire town was on blow to allow all this to be happening at once.

You know the Maximum Overdrive crew had to chase Hopper away from set more than once.

Being from the South, it always surprises me that there's still a ton of people that have no idea what the movie "Stone Cold" is. This maybe a super obscure ask, but a wild back they mentioned how during the world series on Fox they'd always announce a new TV show that was "airing right after the game..." but it'd the show was always canceled with in a few weeks.

"Coming up right after the game, she's a dental assistant that is also a vampire, can she make it in the big city?"
or
"Coming up right after the game, he's a psychic circus clown that solves murders!"

I used to have a Youtube link to tons of them, and then it was mentioned on WLM a while back, but now I can't find it.

I can’t remember the episode, but they were doing that bit with Star Wars characters and Eric pulls out “Who’s the Bossk?” and it might be the funniest line from any episode.

The new Hellraiser is stupid fun. A perfectly adequate entry in the series. And, let’s face facts, the first Hellraiser, which is set in whatever country Charlie Bucket lives in, isn’t the classic it’s cracked up to be.
