Just this little guy. I live in Calgary, Alberta and I haven't seen one like this before. It looks mostly black in person but the photo makes it seem like his legs are brownish.

Two of them were hanging out on our new patio furniture under the cushions and though I'm not usually scared of spiders, it's different from all the others I'm used to so I'd like to know what it is.

Mum found this one in the toaster the other day and sent me the image:

Apparently Dad took it outside and shook it back into the garden.

Then you would have had a very angry spider come running out of the toaster and hide somewhere worse.

It's pretty big....I dunno how big bed bugs get but I always thought they were pretty tiny.

Not big big....I think it's smaller than a black widow even but it's pretty noticeable.

Oh you'd know if it was a bedbug. Since you'd be covered in bites by now.

Odds are it's a Parasteatoda tepidariorum or similar, the common house spider.

Yea bedbugs are flat and small.

That doesn't look like a spider. Could be a tick?

Yeah it's definitely not a bedbug. Just at first glance. Plus you can see it has 8 legs :)

Occasionally, Emery gets PTSD-esque flashbacks of the time he was trampled by a galloping Lurch who basically doesn't even register Emery's existence:

Picked up some crust-punks and a dog -Tiny- who were hitchhiking to a train yard to hop a ride across the country. Tiny is almost an exact replica of one of my dogs except younger, bigger and female :3: Took one terrible pic to share
