I've been sitting here for 5 mins trying to think of a joke to make but I just realised the animators of Mass Effect already did it for me

Jesus, the initial PS3 advertisements were awful. Like they were trying to create 'deep' and 'artistic' ads that featured...uh, crying baby dolls and...stuff. Other weird stuff.

Like what the gently caress.

It was all like this until they hired whoever created the Kevin Butler character - that was a stroke of genius.

They had this one ad that was some crazy long drama about people marooned in a dilapidated hotel in some jungle-y country and it was somehow supposed to sell the PS3.

There were ads for this ad.

I don't know if the campaign flopped or not, but there was a time Quiznos decided to associate their subs with gross singing rodents.

Like mmm I sure could go for toasted subs and some roadkill right about now.

I remember seeing one of these ads and thinking it funny because I was a dumb teenager, but it didn't make me want to eat Quiznos, even ironically.

Dont forget Dr. Pepper 10 which was aimed exclusively at men and had a facebook page where if you listed yourself as a woman it would decline your like. I haven't looked at what happened to that product line but I remember within a month or two of it coming out it was already primarily a female purchasing audience.

I know, as a man, I have never bought and will never buy a Dr. Pepper 10. And I loving love Dr. Pepper.

That, and while I like (or used to) Butterfingers, but those cups are really not good.

I think I had a Butterfinger Easter egg or something last year that was just their butterfinger wafer crushed up and mixed throughout the chocolate instead of being a solid chunk. That was much better. They should make their cups out of that.

I remember a local business advertising on a billboard in my town. I think it was called coupon ninja or something, but the ad was a gangly white dude with the creepiest eyes leering out of the corner with a word bubble that said "I love to help the ladies!" It was just skeevy.

From what I've seen, Legends really had a lot of charm, which is enough for some people.
