I haven't read Parrots for Dummies in ages and didn't remember all of that crap, just that it was useful for practical advice like lists of unsafe foods and unsafe household products, first aid, advice on toys and cage sizes, etc. Now I feel a little awkward about recommending it to people but it was the best book I found out there at the time... which doesn't say much for the others.
