 Lots of people I know believe that hummingbirds never land, but spend their entire lives flying. Disregarding things like sleep, mating, raising young...

Also, my mother thinks that if she doesn't take down her hummingbird feeder in the winter that the hummers will refuse to migrate because food, and will then die of the cold. :suicide:

And then there are the folks that claim rice thrown at weddings will be ingested by birds and then swell within the bird, causing a bird explosion. A literal EXPLOSION.
