Dynamite is putting out a Re-Animator comic.

The first is absolutely one of my favourite comedy/horror films, but I'm not expecting much from the comic. Not expecting I'll even read it, but I do appreciate Jae Lee and Francesco Francavilla Re-Animator related art!

Godzilla In Hell miniseries with rotating creators. James Stokoe's doing the first issue.
http://multiversitycomics.com/news/exclusive-idw-does-the-unthinkable-puts-godzilla-in-hell-this-july/

quote:

GODZILLA FACES THE FIERY INFERNO OF HELL ITSELF!
ABANDON ALL HOPE…

San Diego, CA (March 27, 2015) – In over six decades of battles and triumphs, Godzilla has never faced a challenge as great as what’s coming his way this July in the brand new mini-series Godzilla in Hell! In a conquest for the ages, Godzilla will storm through the gates of hell, proving that the towering behemoth is still King Of The Monsters!

With no warning and no sign of salvation Godzilla will find itself plummeting to the deepest darkest bowels of hell. The mystery of what led to Godzilla’s damnation, and what it will face will take readers on a dark and twisted journey unlike any Godzilla story before!

A rotating creative team will each take Godzilla through a new and more dangerous layer of Hell beginning with none other than writer and artist James Stokoe, who is returning to the character for the first time since his stunning and haunting mini-series Godzilla: The Half Century War.

“Drawing Godzilla must be my comfort food, because it feels really great to come back and work on pages with IDW again,” said Stokoe. “Also, the list of amazing creators they’ve tapped for this series feels equally great as a reader, especially with the theme everyone gets to play with. You can’t get much bigger than Godzilla versus Hell!“

Successive issues in this 5-part series will feature talents familiar to the Godzilla franchise including the multi-talented writer/artists Bob Eggleton, and Dave Watcher. Watcher most recently wrapped up the apocalyptic take on Godzilla in Godzilla: Cataclysm.

New to the world of Godzilla will be writers Ulises Farinas, and Erick Freitas, together on issue #3 and Brandon Seifert, tackling issue #4; artist’s will be announced on these issues at a later time.

“I’m very proud with the level of quality we’ve brought to all of our Godzilla mini-series,” said editor Bobby Curnow. “Godzilla in Hell will prove no exception. It’s been incredibly fun seeing the creator’s imagination stretch to fully utilize this otherworldly premise.”

This explosive new series will join a number of other major debuts in July as part of the Five Featured Firsts program, which launches a brand new title each and every week in July. Additionally, the debut issue will feature an EC Comics homage variant cover by Godzilla: Rulers of Earth artist Jeff Zornow as part of EC Cover Month!

Welp, I thought that Scooby Doo thing was pretty decent. Quite liked it.

It's a great team working on it.
The banter and arguing was straight Giffen/DeMatteis. Fred even got a Guy Gardner punch to the face.

I'm very curious about Wacky Raceland in two weeks.

Betty Boop ongoing coming from Roger Langridge

quote:

Just days before the doors open to the greatest spectacle in comics, Dynamite leads the charge with news to return animation's original leading lady to the limelight! For the first time in nearly 30 years, Betty Boop™ returns to the printed page!

October will see brand new adventures of Betty Boop™ (with her pals Koko the Clown and Bimbo, naturally) from award-winning writer Roger Langridge (The Muppets) and artist Gisèle Lagacé (Archie). Join Betty as she works at the Oop-A-Doop Club, dreams of hitting the big-time, looks after her old Grampy... and fights ghosts (proving that Betty was always ahead of her time)!

"I remember seeing old Max Fleischer Betty Boop™ cartoons on TV when I was a kid and being fascinated by their decidedly non-Disney viewpoint. They existed in a seedy, fallen world, full of speakeasies, ghastly monsters from nightmares, sexual tension, and lots of hot, hot jazz - heady, exotic stuff to a kid in suburban New Zealand in the 1970s," says writer Roger Langridge. "It must have left a strong impression, because it's a world I've tried to recreate in my own comics a number of times over the years, most particularly in my own creator-owned series Fred the Clown - so it's genuinely exciting to be able to go right to the source, writing the real deal. And I'm particularly pleased that we've got a woman cartoonist drawing this major female icon, in the form of the very talented Gisèle Lagacé; Betty Boop™, as was common at the time, was created as a male's fantasy idea of a woman, so I think it's important in this day and age to have a female point-of-view right at the creative coalface."

"Dynamite has assembled an incredible team to create the new Betty Boop™ series," said Frank Caruso, Vice President, Creative, for King Features. "As we are re-imagining Betty Boop™ with a whole new style-conscious generation, it's amazing to see this new creative team producing retro-infused comics with the confidence to know that there's nothing cooler than retro cartoons... especially a Max Fleischer cartoon!"

King Features is the exclusive worldwide licensing agent for Betty Boop™. The New York City-based unit of Hearst works closely with property owner Fleischer Studios to manage the brand.

"We have already been very fortunate to have such a strong partnership with King Features. To be able to tell new stories based on Max Fleischer's original cartoon superstar is another great achievement for all of us here at Dynamite," says Dynamite CEO and Publisher, Nick Barrucci. "Betty Boop™is one of the most recognizable faces in the history of animation, a timeless American cultural icon. This new series will delight comics fans young, old, and everywhere in-between!"

Betty Boop™ #1 features four traditional comic covers from an all-star cast of creative admirers, including the legendary Howard Chaykin (American Flagg!), Roger Langridge doing double-duty as an illustrator, series interior artist Gisèle Lagacé, and a special Max Fleischer character sheet. Special edition variants will include a "Coloring Book Cover" by J. Bone (Super Friends), printed on thick paper so fans of all ages can embellish her appearance; a Blank Authentix Edition that fans and comic professionals can illustrate; and a rare Howard Chaykin "Black & White" incentive edition available to qualifying retailers.

Betty Boop™ #1 will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors' August 2016 Previews catalog, the premiere source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, and slated for release in October. Comic book fans are encouraged to reserve copies of Betty Boop™ with their local comic book retailers. Betty Boop™ will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital.

BURBANK, CA (October 14, 2016) – On January 11, two of comics’ greatest teams will combine their powers and abilities for the first time! The Justice League—Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern John Stewart, the Flash and Cyborg—meet Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in a six-issue monthly miniseries from New York Timesbest-selling writer Tom Taylor (INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US, GREEN LANTERN CORPS: EDGE OF OBLIVION) and artist Stephen Byrne (JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA REBIRTH: THE RAY).

“DC and BOOM! Something terrible has happened in Angel Grove when the Power Rangers’ Command Center is breached and the teleporters are damaged! Zack the Black Ranger is flung into an alternate universe full of citizens possessing outrageous powers and wearing strange costumes. Will Jason the Red Ranger, Trini the Yellow Ranger, Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Billy the Blue Ranger and Tommy the Green Ranger be able to get to Zack in time to save him from Batman?

“Everyone at BOOM! is thrilled to be part of an event of this magnitude,” said BOOM! Our imaginations have been racing since the moment this kicked off with our friends at DC and Saban Brands. Get ready…this is one event that’s not to be missed.”

In addition to the standard covers drawn by Karl Kerschl (GOTHAM ACADEMY: SECOND SEMESTER), each issue will feature a variant cover drawn by one of comics’ most popular artists, pairing each member of the League with a different Power Ranger:

Batman/Pink Ranger by Dan Hipp
Cyborg/Blue Ranger by Dustin Nguyen
The Flash/Black Ranger by Yasmine Putri
Green Lantern John Stewart/Yellow Ranger by Marguerite Sauvage
Superman/Green Ranger by Chris Sprouse
Wonder Woman/Red Ranger by Marcus To

“With their talented roster of writers and artists, DC and BOOM! Studios bring to life the world’s greatest superheroes, including the iconic Power Rangers,“ said Janet Hsu, CEO at Saban Brands. “With DC, BOOM! Studios and Saban Brands partnering, we will bring fans a legendary crossover that will stand the test of time, just as these historical superheroes have done individually for decades.”
