A lot of people really like that child porn VN

My biggest problem with Saya no Uta was close to that of Fate/Zero - I couldn't bring myself to care for any of these characters (true enough, F/Z had a few exceptions but they were minor). Everyone's a douche, a monster or a cardboard cutout. The MC doesn't give a drat if the whole of humanity burns as long as he and Saya are happy. Saya is a sweetie pie on the inside that enjoys (to put it mildly) the torture of other living things - how can anyone fall in love with that sort of creature? It's horrifying. The rest of the cast are forgettable.

All of the badly done porn is easy to ignore with one press of a button.

The premise is interesting, though. One of these things that manages to do one thing right but screws up everything else, unfortunately.

Whoops, I've been copying that Glossary forward for years without editing / re-reading it at all. I'm surprised it wasn't caught earlier this year.

Even ignoring stuff like that, there's a lot of things in that glossary that could probably do with updating / corrections. I went ahead and tweaked the Bones entry and nixed the Norio Wakamoto entry because he's not really even a factor anymore (same). Are there any other corrections / omissions that should be addressed? I'm not sure even the studio lists are super relevant anymore, studios have started to lose a lot of importance since animation staff are often floating between different studios now.

Bones made a bunch of fantastically good what years ago?

Also, all of MADHOUSE's auteurs seem to have moved elsewhere, like Studio MAPPA, so that entry could use revising.

I will say, Death Parade does seem like something of a return to form. Even if it's not that good it's an original anime by new talent and something of a risk, the kind that Madhouse hasn't taken for way too long.

More specifically, a quarter-year season I guess.

Now that I think about it, is the etymology of "cour" a shortened version of quarter-year (quar-ter) that's been reborrowed? :iiam:

French. Actually the same origin as "court" and it makes very little sense.

You could include information about KyoAni; I'm honestly kinda surprised that you have yet to include them. Shaft and Akiyuki Shinbo could pretty much go within the same entry taking into account that pretty much all of Shaft's works have been directed by him since... what, 2005 or 2006? Also, while somewhat conservative, I do think that studios are still somewhat indicative of what to potentially expect from an anime.

Also, if you're gonna include Gen Urobuchi, you've got to include Mari Okada: The queen of inconsistency.

That's just :cripes: incarnate.

JoJo 3 part 2
Maria the virgin witch (Zorak op should mention this is by the Moyashimon author)
Death Parade maybe, Death Billiards was ok
Psycho Pass Movie eventually
Yatterman of the Night tryout because sometimes these reboots are good (shin getter) and sometimes bad (gatchaman)

Sunrise made the superior (but only barely) Nichijou show with Nichibros. Nozaki-kun was also just as good as Nichijou. Of course, if :thejoke: is something regarding how KyoAni lost its touch or somesuch, then Hyouka would like to have a few words with you, young man. :colbert:

All of you people who haven't watched Durarara need to go do so right now. The first few episodes are a little weird, but a big point of the story is the tangle of relationships and happenstance that makes it so no central person is advancing everything - it does the whole 'no main character' thing better than basically any other show. And when it does get to have action scenes, they're really cool.

Also Shizuo is the best.

Going to watch Aldnoah Zero, but I'm ready to bail on it depending on how the writing holds up. We'll see i guess.
Definitely watching Kamisama Kiss 2. For sure going to check out Yuri Bear Storm, and I'm sure at least one of those shows that sounds either bad or generic will turn out to actually be good, at least that's what always seems to happen.
