Oh what's that? The enemy team have a platoon of unicums in a 279(e) and a Chieftain, and we have some guy who's played like two games in his loving Super Conqueror?  You'll be shocked to know we did not in fact win the game and both our heavies were dead in a minute.

The turn radius is poo poo, but it's fast, can work a ridge line really well and can pop up where the enemies don't expect it for that big British medium damage. It's really good in Frontlines, too!

It do be like that sometimes(*). It's why I've almost exclusively fallen back on playing Onslaught. You can influence the games a great deal more, the maps are better, and even if your team pulls off the old 1-7, at least it's over very quickly. * = seemingly most times these days. But gently caress, that is BRUTAL.

OK, in Bronze Onslaught just becomes a horrible hell grind. You can win and be the first on the team, and you'll literally get 5 ranking points more than you get for being on the top in a loss. And you need 500 points to get from Bronze to Silver. Got unlucky and happened to get killed first? Well that's 10 victories immediately erased, go gently caress yourself. E: like seriously: I have a WR of 55% in this Onslaught season, and I'm struggling to get out of Bronze D. This game mode can eat my rear end in a top hat. Started the day in Bronze B. Had the typical WoT session of losing 60% of my games due to most games having one or even more players who did 0 damage, ended up in Bronze D. It just sucks so much loving rear end that there are no backstops in Onslaught. I find it hard to believe they designed a game mode this poo poo by accident.

You can platoon but I think that puts you in a separate queue against other platoons. Plus none of my friends or WoT acquaintances play this loving game anymore

I've been on a losing streak recently. It's super annoying  . It's either my team rushes in and dies in the first 3 minutes, which then turns into me trying to farm as much as I can till I die or our team decimates the enemies with a never ending rush and I struggle to get any damage in. Not sure if it is the players, the meta or both that suck

Yesterday I had a run of games in Onslaught with teams that weren't 100% terrible, and now I'm back to Bronze B. I am so loving close to the Concept 1B, but at the same time I am extremely aware that if RNG gives me teams full of 46% tomatoes again, I'll be back down to Bronze D in a heartbeat. I can't stress this enough: DO NOT PLAY ONSLAUGHT except to do the weekly missions, because those are actually easily doable and with the exception of the "win 2 games" mission not at all team dependent. Of course it's too late now, but keep this in mind for next season, because you get a piece of bond equipment and a bunch of bonds for completing all 5 missions on all 6 weeks of a season. Oh and also I guess play Onslaught if you want to grind field mods on T10 tanks, but do not play Onslaught if you want to progress. Yeah, you can affect games more in 7v7 than in 15v15, but your wins and losses are still entirely down to the RNG, because you're not carrying a team of 45% potatoes to wins against decent players.

They announced previously that the next battle pass would be themed around the Normandy landings (because the new season takes place over summer and coincides with the 80th anniversary of Overlord), which made me already wonder how they were going to tie T10 tanks into that. Turns out they're not. The rewards for the three BP chapters won't be T10 skins, but T6 premiums. Maybe. It's not yet known if the tanks are premiums or just "reward vehicles", but in any case they are carbon copies of the ARL 44, the T6 Churchill and the M4A2E8 with historical skins.  They look nice, and the ARL 44 is incredibly fun so if this has the busted-rear end gun with the OP premium rounds, that's definitely one to go for.

Tier 6 premiums don't make that many credits. If WG want a crazy popular bp event, they can totally give those away. Muzzle break looks like the long 90mm on the ARL which is still decent I guess. Church is just a big lol unless they shoehorn the 17pounder on it. If they were smart, they'd replace that turd with a German tier 6 Panther premium. Or sell it as the 4. chapter

Apparently today they're launching a Girls und Panzer collaboration. Speculation suggests that it'll be a premium Tiger II from the show as a special one/two week BP chapter, like they've done in recent years, because something like that has been datamined in the game. Personally I'm hoping we can get the crew again because I never bought the Panzer IV Ankou and apparently the crew is kinda rad.

Yeah but what the gently caress is up with that 240 alpha gun? Also -- I know GuP is a thing, but it sure is loving wild to see "Jatkosota High School" (Continuation War HS) as a thing. E: Some of the people playing this game are borderline psychotic, I swear. Had a Super Conqueror in an Onslaught game that went down to the wire, with ultimately the match being decided by our E100 vs their E100. The guy died about halfway through the match and then spent the rest of the game shouting abuse at the team and the E100 player. He then claimed he had done "easy 6k" in the game in between spamming slurs. We won the game. I checked the guy's performance after the game. He had done 2,8k. Like... why lie about something like that? We can check your performance after the game, you know. And as if that wasn't enough, he then spent me a bunch of abusive messages over the period of an hour, I'd pop into a game, then when I'd get out I'd find some more poo poo from him in PMs. I guess I was guilty of the crime of defending the guy he was abusing in the game. I'm really confused by that G&P Tiger II. Do they mean for it to be a Tiger I? Because as a premium Tiger II it's so much *worse* than the tech tree version. As in, worse HP, worse gun, worse armour....why would you want this tank? I can only assume it's got some kind of massive maneuverability buff to make up for the fact its other stats are straight trash? EDIT: Oh, wait, Tier VII. So it *is* a Tiger I. Well...ok then. Disregard. :P Though as a Tiger I, looks like you get more armour in exchange for a pretty dreadful gun. Less damage than top tech, worse dispersion, *and* slower reload.
