Okami is the best Zelda.

Ammie also shows more personality than Link most of the time, despite being a dog.

Yeah a lot of people complain about that but when I got to the second time you assume the game is over and it turned out there was another huge area to explore, I was overjoyed. I just really loved that have and while I recognize its flaws, none of them actually bothered me.

This wasn't a bad game year, but it was also a year where most of what I played just gave me what I expected. Mario Kart was what I expected, Smash was what I expected, Hyrule Warriors was what I expected, Binding of Isaac was what I expected, Dark Souls II was what I expected. Guilty Gear was what I expected. None of these games were bad mind you and most of them were pretty amazing but very little actually managed to give me any surprises.

I'm honestly this close to declaring Drakengard 3 my game of the year because despite the fact I should have expected it, that game still managed to blindside me with the trolling it did in the last chapter.

I'm currently playing Akiba's Trip because it was better than it has any right to be. It's not amazing but it's better than it had any right to be. It's also thankfully less fanservicey than you'd expect despite it seeming to only exist to provide fan service.

Why is blinding of Isaac supposed to be good anyway? It looks kind of boring

It's a cool little rogue like shooter that has dozen upon dozens of powerups that often combine in cool fun ways. There's alot of challenging stuff to do and the more you play the game the more poo poo it throws at you. It's one of those games where you never really have the same run twice and things can suddenly happen that change everything for better or for worse. It's a game that drives you forward just because your curious to see what the game will throw at you this time. It's a cool game. People can not like it I suppose but I find that there's alot there.

I should clarify that I don't feel it's awful just that it is boring.

I'm not gonna guarantee your gonna like it but it does get more intense as you play. The lower floors can be brutal and once you unlock "everything is terrible" it get pretty hard. Then there's playing with the hidden characters to add even more challenge.

the original game was made in flash. It was gonna start out as this small thing and by the time they wanted to make it more full, it was too late to really go back without throwing away quite a bit of work. It still was a game that ran terribly and there's no real excuse for that, but they at least had a reason.

Yeah, I had a lot of fun with it and I am bummed that the sequel is (apparently) xbone exclusive as I was leaning more towards a PS4 so now I dunno and will wait to see how it is and if it actually will be exclusive before committing. Some of those quicktime events and death animations are rough though.

I will still be surprised is Rise never comes to PS4, especially with how determined they seem to be about not saying outright that this isn't going to happen.Like if it wasn't coming to PS4 they'd say that to try and sway people that they need and Xbone but they really have avoided saying that.

For me they are both good doing things better than the other in some areas while neither really does what the other does better badly. TR has better shooting and platforming but I still enjoyed it in Uncharted a great deal. Uncharted has better puzzles, set pieces, writing and pacing but TR still doesn't do any of these things too bad. They're also both really pretty. They're both cool games and cool people like both.

Saturn was a system made thinking that sprites were still going to be the way games were. This is odd considering Sega had polygon based hits before the Saturn came out. Saturn had the best sprites out of the three at the time but that hardly mattered because the world had moved on to ugly polygons. Sony just got lucky and had a system that handled the two things the other two couldn't that really made that gen stand out. It did polys better than Sega and FMVs better than Nintendo. Both of those were things that just weren't important in the previous gen, so their experience kind of worked against them.

I don't see it. It's fine I suppose but I don't really what remotely makes it better than the other options.

Generally I don't like the buttons being under the stick. It also has rounded sticks like everyone always bitched about on the ds3.
