So I can get an LQ4 pulled out of a van and dropped at my house for $650. No guarantees that it runs, but I'll be rebuilding the whole loving thing anyway. Thoughts from the masses?

Raluek posted:I'm as rabid an LS fanboy as anyone on here, so don't take this as a "nay" vote, but: This is for whatever is attached when they pull it. Alternator, PS pump, manifolds, etc. No ecu as far as I know. I'd be selling some of the parts (intake and exhaust manifolds, heads) to replace them later, so that would help a bit for fund recovery. I've run it by the CFO, but we have some other expenses coming up so I don't know if this will pan out. Kastein: I hate you.

Tommychu posted:So I had an idea today after coming up dry on another round of junkyard posi checks. We love junkyards and we love helping each other out, a lot of us have mentioned they have standing orders for poo poo they need and the Row52 Parts Puller thing has a lot of potential for being hosed by some idiot meth head across the country. Has anyone thought about doing a junkyard wanted parts list? I'm imagining a little script on Google Docs where you'd enter username/email/year(s)/make/model(s)/part wanted and it'd pop you into a read-only spreadsheet that we all could see and keep an eye out for the good stuff. Does this sound feasible to anyone else? poo poo, I'm down. My local yard keeps a pretty good inventory of vehicles too.

CommieGIR posted:I need a welder so bad I hear that. I looked into the local community college's offerings for welding and whatnot and you have to hit their whole loving program to get to the welding classes. Metallurgy 101 and the like. I'm sure that would be helpful and endlessly educational, but I really just want to find a welding class. My dad was a professional welder for years and he doesn't even own one.

So I've got previous Craigslist Clown back on the hook. If we can agree on a number (again), I'm asking for a picture of the money.
