It's not actually a cover image. That's half of a really big vertical panel of the two of them navigating a sewer tunnel.

I was curious if there'd ever been a Spider-Man & Emma Frost team-up. It turns out there's been at least one, in X-Men (2010) #10, by Victor Gischler and Chris Bachalo.

Cyclops is trying to improve the X-Men's overall PR, so he sends a small team to New York to investigate a rash of disappearing children. It turns out to intersect with a case Spider-Man's already working, where the Dark Beast is exploiting the The Lizard's technology. At one point, it's Spidey and Emma alone against a bunch of lizarded-up X-Men.

That's why she can't report on it. There's time travel involved. If they printed that story than Ixnayalpay might have won World War II!

It's kinda weird Black Widow and Spider-Man haven't interacted much, they have a ton of mutual acquaintances. Were they ever both on The Avengers at the same time?

They've both been on the team in a couple of non-canon one-shots I've read, like Avengers: Mech Strike.

Widow showed up in several issues of the old Marvel Team-Up book, though, including the "Nancy Rushman" arc from the late '70s, which is hard to adequately summarize. Basically, Peter runs across someone who is, at a glance, definitely Natasha, but who acts like and believes herself to be an ordinary schoolteacher. This wouldn't be a big deal, except SHIELD is also trying to kill her.

The arc's got a certain fame in parts of the modern Marvel fan community as the story that very nearly sets up a romance between Peter and Natasha, but backs off of it at the last second. It's a slightly horny '70s Marvel story, so naturally, it's by Claremont.
