To be perfectly honest, the stuff I've seen of this new anime looks kind of garbage. Seeing panty shots of all the main characters in their first appearances doesn't give me a lot of faith in the final product. I enjoyed Utena a lot, and Penguindrum was pretty good, so I'll give this a try, but I am not expecting much.

It implies the show is pandering to a demographic that is completely different from what other works the director has done. And to be honest, Penguindrum had a lot more of that fanservice than Utena did, so in my mind this might just be Ikuhara falling further down that hole.
